Mayra Salinas spoke with 1460 AM Decisión Latina on June 18, 2020 on the SCOTUS decision being a clarification of what already exists in the law of Title VII to indicate that gender identity is within the definition of the meaning of “sex” so the court made clear that LGBT people are protected under Title VII. She also briefly mentioned that to determine whether sex discrimination has occurred, there are already standards for showing whether discrimination occurred, so people who believe they were discriminated against should seek the advice of an attorney to determine whether they have a viable claim. 1460 AM Decisión Latina, 6/18, 2020.
