Growing up, I watched my dad’s small business deal with the complexities of government regulation. That experience, together with my experience working in the federal government, give me the background to help my clients deal with those same obstacles. It is my goal to make regulatory, licensing, zoning, and administrative processes easy so that business owners can get back to doing what they do best.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
David Edelblute is a business and government affairs attorney specializing in helping businesses and nonprofits navigate complex interactions with local, state, and federal governments including contracting, licensing, regulatory and administrative matters, and commercial litigation. Prior to his legal career, David worked in the hospitality and gaming industry as a corporate consultant and had a career in political campaigning and government work. His unique work history helps him bridge the gap between black and white “legalese” and business owners’ goals, which are often in conflict.
David serves his community in several capacities: as a federal appointee to Nevada’s Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights; as a member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s legislative committee; as a Trustee to the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation; and as an appointee to the City of Henderson’s Charter Committee. David also stays active in the Federalist Society of Law and Public Policy as the Las Vegas Chapter’s Secretary to the Board and through other initiatives with several local nonprofit organizations.
An academic at heart, David is an active member supporting the State Bar of Nevada by editing the motions and judgements sections of the Nevada Civil Practice Manual. David earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Arizona State University and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin.
David is a proud native Nevadan born in Las Vegas and raised in Henderson. David spends most of his time with his wife, Sheleana, their daughter, Emi, and their dogs, Lyla, and Alfie. When not around his family, David enjoys working out, playing tennis, singing barbershop music, and enjoying musical theater.
