Focusing her practice on advising and representing employers, Kristol has extensive experience in litigation involving employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour disputes, non-competition agreements, trade secrets, and other employment torts. She also routinely represents employers before the EEOC, the Nevada Equal Rights Commission, the United States Department of Labor, the Nevada Labor Commission, OSHA, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Kristol also counsels and trains employers and supervisors on personnel practices including employee handbooks and policies, sexual harassment and discrimination claims, employee hiring and termination practices, wage and hour compliance, and family and medical leave and other leaves of absence. She can assist clients with drafting and enforcing employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and severance agreements. Kristol’s knowledge of anti-discrimination statutes has also given her the opportunity to defend business owners against claims of public accommodation discrimination by patrons arising out of interactions with employees or accessibility of the business facilities under state and federal discrimination statutes, including Title III of the American with Disabilities Act.
Kristol earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Iowa in 2000. She received her Juris Doctorate from Drake University School of Law in 2003, graduating with honors.
